Hi Guys,

Is it possible to call out using the internal extension number plus a set of digits. The phone system is working but all the calls are showing up as a number that is not configured on any of the extensions or indeed anywhere in the config?

Thanks

Its very simple to use..

first of all remove the xlation rule 2 for the /6/

then do the following

conf t

numb-exp 6.. 020732686..

You should check if you have xlation patterns in your CCM.

Does this happen only to external calls or this happen to internal calls too..

If this happen only to external calls, you should check your gateway and check that xaltion rule is not causing this

Soory should of said I am using CME, on multiple BRI lines however I have tested the translation rule and it is working fine.

Key Config

voice translation-rule 2

rule 1 /6/ /000459596/

!where all extensions begin with a 6 are 3 digits long and 000459593 is the rest of the number I would like to see when as outbound CLID

voice translation-profile outgoing

translate calling 2

dial-peer voice 2 pots

trunkgroup bri

description outgoing

translation-profile outgoing outgoing

destination-pattern .T

forward-digits 11

I dont understand you!

with this config, when the the CLID is 6, the number will be changed to 000459596, if what you want is that when a number begins with 6,

then you will have to change your rule to...

rule 1 /^6/ /000459596/

This way when any number that begings with 6 is making an outbound call, it will be changed to 000459596

Sorry I should explain an example

internal extension 621

becomes outside number 02074549621

so the rule is

rule 1 /6/ /020745496/

so whats the problem...

what do you want that the router is not doing

taking the example above if 620 dials out the CLID on the dialed phone reads 02076540081 currently, I have no idea where this number is coming from as it does not fit any of the translations and is not what I have asked to call out. Incoming stripping all but the last three digits is working fine.

Can you issue this command..

test voice-translation rule 1 620

let me know what the result is

Please rate all useful posts

test#test voice translation-rule 2 620

Matched with rule 1

Original number: 620 Translated number: 02074549620

Original number type: none Translated number type: none

Original number plan: none Translated number plan: none

Ok. Thats a good sign.

The next thing to check is this..Does this affect only this number or does it affect any other number...

can you do a debug voip ccapi inout...and then place a test call..from phone 620..

Hi I have attached the debug as a txt file as there was a lot of it:) Thanks for the help

So this is what I see from the debug..

cisco-ani=621

ul 11 11:09:44.601: //530/ACA1D15880E0/CCAPI/cc_api_display_ie_subfields:

ccCallSetupRequest:

cisco-username=

----- ccCallInfo IE subfields -----

cisco-ani=0207320207326868621

cisco-anitype=0

cisco-aniplan=0

cisco-anipi=0

cisco-anisi=0

dest=07795109479

cisco-desttype=0

cisco-destplan=0

cisco-rdie=FFFFFFFF

cisco-rdn=

cisco-rdntype=0

cisco-rdnplan=0

cisco-rdnpi=0

cisco-rdnsi=0

cisco-redirectreason=0 fwd_final_type =0

final_redirectNumber =

hunt_group_timeout =0

Calling number =621, called number=07795109479

The calling number was then xlated to 0207320207326868621...

Can you post your config here...

Certainly here you go

Now, I have seen where your problem is...

rule 1 /6/ /020732686/

Your xlation rule changes xlates every occurenc of 6 so when you have

621....020732(6..this 6 is also changed to 020732686..)then the remaining 8621 of the first xlation is added. hence you get this:

0207320207326868621.

Instead of using this xaltion rule, try number expansion..

eg num-exp 6.. 020732686..

Sorry I have never come accross number expansions where would I apply the comand
