mark policy w/ trust dscp

I have a 7604 as a WAN router. I need to use a service policy to mark dscp based on a subnet address using an ACL. In addition to this service policy, I also need to honor dscp markings from things like IP Phones. It appears that its improper to use a service policy input on an interface to set dscp while also using the mls qos trust dscp command on the same interface.

Is there a workaround for something like this, on the same router?

I think I just solved my own issue. Can someone please verify this? From what I can tell, having a service policy input on an interface assumes mls qos trust dscp. Is this true, and if possible can someone link the documentation to this effect?

The logic is same like-

1. Create ACL for the source and destinatiion

2. Create Class Map and match the ACL

3. Create Policy Map and add Class-map in that. Set Voice as DSCP EF or AF41.

4. Bind the Policy Map with interface.

I know how to set a service policy to mark dscp. My question is in regards to using a policy map to mark DSCP, while also using the mls qos trust dscp command. The mls qos trust dscp command appears to disable the ability for a service policy to mark dscp while configured on the same interface.
