hi every body !

I am preparing for ccnp(bcmsn) exam. I am using cisco press book by David Hucaby. In the book i find the command:

spanning-tree vlan vlan-id root{primary}\{secondry}

In the same book i find same command but this time with vlan-list option

spanning-tree vlan vlan-list root {primary} {secondry}

which one is correct?

I mean after vlan, It should be vlan-id or vlan-list?

Does hello timer for bpdu have any bearing on forward delay and max-age timer?

thanks a lot and have a nice day !

Hi,

They are both correct!

You can change the value for a single vlan, or you can change it for a range of vlans,

spanning-tree vlan 20,25,30 root primary
