WIC-2T, 3845 and >2048kb = problems???

So this WIC is supposed to support 8mb per channel when inserted directly into the onboard WIC slot of a 3845. When I run 2mb it runs clean w/ no problems but as soon as we try to pump it up over 2 mb, say 3mb, I get errors on the line and the line protocol subsequently drops. We are using the smart cable terminated to RS530 cable which is having no problem handling greater bandwidth on other applications here. I did notice in the WIC-2T specs it states 8mb dedicated up to 6 ports.... If I have 8 ports installed on one router will it force it down to 2mb per port? Does it matter that only 3 other ports are enabled? is there something else I might be missing? Any help is appreciated!

thx

Hi,

I think you're withing the published limits for the card and suggest you contact the TAC to see if they can reproduce the issue and investigate it.

Not many people uses serial interfaces above T1 or E1 rates, so there may have been insufficient testing for the wic-2T on the 3800 platform.
