IDM 6.0 error connectig to sensor

Dear All,

we have 8 ASA with AIP-SSM-10 installed on each of it. The ASA version is 7.2(4) and IPS version is IPS-SSM_10-K9-sys-1.1-a-6.1-1-E1.img

I actually did the upgrade from 5.X to 6.X for IPS and everything went fine I tested by testing some signatures like 2000 and 2004. After few days I can not access the IDM Graphical interface.

It is showing me error " Error connecting to sensor. Failed to create sensor"

Can someone shed lights on the issue

I had the exact same thing after my sensors autoupdated to S342. I used the "downgrade" command in configure terminal mode from the cli and all of a sudden I could use the GUI again.

I'm opening a TAC case on this shortly

Nasim,

I will post here when I get something from Cisco. Try using ssh to get into your IPS then run the downgrade command to see if that fixes it for you too.

I just manually downloaded S344 from CCO and applied it via the GUI and now things are behaving again.

Upgrade your ASA 8.03 and ASDM to 6.0.3
