I
I are reading about Location.
In call using g729, 24kbps is bandwith to call stream or to call?
I have 240 kbps on WAN
-Are 10 calls (10 x 24 kbps)?
or
-Are 5 calls (240 / (24 kbps x 2 call stream)?
Thanks

Hi,
Each g.729 call from callmanager is 24kbps/call.
Hence with 240 kbps, you can support 10 calls. But in real sense, it is actually less than 10 calls, beacuse of layer 2 overhead in your network.
So with 240Kbps, I will provision 9 calls.

CUCM does not take layer 2 in consideration for location calculations.
for G711 consider 80 kbps per call and for g729 24 kbps per call for calculations.
thru the rest of the way you do need to take layer 2 in consideration for BW calculation.
