I am planning on setting up a Hub and Spoke Wireless Bridging Scenario, with a 1242 Access Point as a Hub and 871W Routers (with PC's attached) at the Spokes.
Cisco does mention that 870 Series Routers do not support repeater or bridging functionality. But when the 871W router is loaded with an advaced ip services IOS, the dot11radio0 interface supports the command "station-role non-root".
Does this mean that the 871W router can function as a non-root Wireless Work Group Bridge (WGB)??

I have an 871W w/ advanced ip services also and you can't configure it as a WGB.

Thanks fella5, but I would like to know if any kind of wireless bridging is possible from a Cisco Access Point to a 871W Router, where 871W is the non-root.

Its possible to configure 871 router in Universal Client Mode. i.e., using station-role non-root
