Polycom HDX 7000 integration

We are trying to use one Polycom HDX 7000 as H323 phone client with a CCM 5.0.4.

We did the same configuration with our old Aethra Videoconference appliances and they work fine.

With Polycom we have these problems:

a) one way audio when I call from my 7985 (no audio on Polycom)

b) no audio and video when I call from one 7940 with VTA (no audio/video on 7940 side, no audio on Polycom)

c) I cannot add the Polycom to a multiconference (we have a 3515 mcu).

Any idea?

The issues you are having might be related to capabilities negotiation issues.

a) try adjusting the phone configuration: Advertise G.722 Codec => disabled.

b) Did you enable the Video Capabilities for this phone?

c) Have you added the 3515 as a videoconference in a media resource group on the ccm?

Thanks, Tristan. You are right: it's a negotation issue.

We configured HDX in basic mode (video H261 and audio G711) and 7985 phones can work fine with HDX. But VTA clients no: tha call are audio only.

Now we must find the configuration good for all types of phones

PS b) and c)are OK. We do videocalls from about one year with Cisco phones and H323 videoconference appliances

The VTA only supports H.263 or H.264. I have one of those 7985 phones here and I know there shouldn't be a problem for them to handle H.264 or H.263.

So how is this H.323 endpoint configured on the CCM?
