I am trying to figure out why my 851 is not fetchinh IP from my DHCP server which is configured on 831 router. Is there any debug to perform this

if the 831 is on a different subnet you need to use a ip helper-address on the interface to which you 851 is connected.

basically on 831 the Fast ethernet 4 thats a switch port is connected to 851 Fast Ethernet 4 port

try debug ip dhcp server events or packets
