udld and cdp

hi everybody!

does udld require cdp ? if not then how udld determines neighbor id neighbor port id?

Sarah,

UDLD does not use CDP to detect it's neighbor. UDLD uses it's own form of hello messages to detect neighbors, and determine a fault. Here are some guides to help you further understand this.
