Access to a router simulator

Unanswered Question

Does anybody know where I can get live hands on training on cisco routers. I am studying for the CCNA exam and I am having a hard time getting the router simulator questions. I wanted to practice so I was hoping that somebody can help me out.

I recommend to CCNA candidates that they should try to get their hands on some real equipment. Cisco 2501's sell on ebay for about $20. Add some DCE / DTE cabling and a 2900 switch or two. You could probably build a CCNA lab for about $100 total. Bear in mind that after you complete the certification, you can sell it back on ebay and get nearly all your money back.

If that still isn't possible then you can use simulators like Dynamips. The simulators do require powerful machines, though, so you may not save any money. Plus,Dynamips doesn't offer you switch simulaltors.

I hope this helps. Real equipment is the best way to practice for the CCNA.
