Cisco WAAS featues

Hi Experts,

My customer wants to know if Cisco WAAS supports the following features:

LAN/WAN monitoring of switches and routers

â€¢ For bandwidth usage

â€¢ Uptime

â€¢ CPU / RAM resource utilization

â€¢ Network Mapping

â€¢ Source/Destination Conversation - Packets/protocols etc.

â€¢ Alert Mechanisms

I was able to find through the data sheet for WAAS that it supports CPU utilisation,bandwidth usage ,uptime and alert mechanisms.

I am not sure if WAAS supports network mapping and packet analysis.

Any help would be appreciated.

â€¢ For bandwidth usage - Available from the WAAS Central Manager.

â€¢ Uptime = Available through SNMP.

â€¢ CPU / RAM resource utilization - Available through SNMP and the WAAS Central Manager.

â€¢ Network Mapping - Can you please clarify the requirement? What specific information are you looking for?

â€¢ Source/Destination Conversation - Packets/protocols etc. - Available through the transaction logging capability.

â€¢ Alert Mechanisms - Alerts are available through the WAAS Central Manager and SNMP.

Thanks for responding.I will speak to my explain to my customer how WAAS can be used for the features that they are asking for.

Network mapping- The customer wants to know if WAAS can do auto-discovery of the devices (routers and firewalls) and create a topology of the discovered devices.
