VOIP between a linksys and ASA 5510

Unanswered Question

I am trying to remote into my office network from home so I can run a VOIP phone from the house on the office network. I am having trouble getting the initial settings going for this. Is this a possibility? I am fairly new to the Cisco world. Any help would be appreciated. I have a linksys BEFVP41 v2 at home and a Cisco ASA 5510 firewall and a CISCO 1841 router at work.

I have this problem too.

hi there

there is several way to achive it

but u have not mentioned what kind of call control u use for example CCM or CME

anyway i will asume that u seted up ur router as cme

with in this cme define an ephone and ephon-dn for a cisco IP communicator which is a software

then make a remote access vpn from home to ur ASA asuming that the cme after the ASA

and give the vpn client address pool and allow ur client to access to the internal network especcialy the address that u gonna configure it as address source in ur cme under the telephoney service

and put that source address as tftp address on ur ip communicator phon

and should work

if u new on cisco tech i think these info will be kinda confusing

anyway let me know if u want any more details

good luck
