.cop.sgn Files and distant load server

Unanswered Question

Hi all,

We set up a distant TFTP server as a load server. When we analyse all the tftp phone's requests, we can see all the files needed. Here is the list:

- SCCP70.8-3-3SR2S.loads

- jar70sccp.8-3-3ES2.sbn

- dsp70.8-3-3ES2.sbn

- cvm70sccp.8-3-3ES2.sbn

- cnu70.8-3-3ES2.sbn

- apps70.8-3-3ES2.sbn

They are all in the .cop.sgn file I downloaded from the Cisco Website, but I did not manage to extract this last. I have to upload the firmware to the call center and then download all the files from it usinf a TFTP client. Isn't there a way to extract thoses files ?

Thanks for your help,

Best regards,

François Tetard

I have this problem too.

Hy Francois,

i see you are using 7970er Phone. Which Phoneload are you still using.

If you have CUCM 5.1 running enable Peer Firmware Sharing at the Device Page for your remote Phones so one off every 3rd Generation Phones loads the Firmware and shares it to the other using CPPDP Cisco PeertoPeer Distribution Protocol (UDP/TCP 4051)

I think the 8.3(5) is a better solution, because there is a Problem with the HTTP int earlier versions with a RTT over 50ms.
