Proper shutdown

Hi,

Is there a way to properly shutdown the ASA or can you just pull the plug?

in short, no, there is no proper way aside from making sure everything is backed up according to best practices.

Since the ASA contains no hard drives (its a flash based device), you can safely go ahead and switch-off the power button.
