L3 Switching Engine WS-F6K-PFC

Hi,

I have Sup IA, its boots up and comes to console>(enable) mode, i need to configure L3 functionalities, not able to go with session 15, pls let me know how to configure the same.

Pls look into the below configuration.

There aren't any MSFC's daughter card install in your switch:

#module 15 empty

!

#module 16 empty

MSFC's will show up in your "show module" command as module 15 or 16, depend on which line card.

you are right, but there is PFC card, in sh module status, you can see L3 Switching Engine, where we have a similar switch being used for L3. also this switch was earlier used as distribution switch, still working on it.

will share if done.

Hi Sara,

SUP1A can come with the PFC but without the MSFC (like the one you have). In this case, the SUP will use the PFC to process frames for L3/4 QoS classification and ACL filtering.
