Hi can anyone help: I have got several vg224's configured as skinny and as a third option under sccp it points to the local voice gateway. Problem is that if i get a wan failure all the devices on the vg224 register as ephones on the local voice gateway. I only have a few devices on the vg224 which need to fallback to srst, is there any way of controlling which or how many devices register in srst.
Cheers Dave

Hi friend,
You achieve this by means of Device Pools configured with SRST Reference. The phones that are in a Device Pool that contains a valid SRST Reference will fallback when lose connectivity to their primary call agent. Phones that are in Device Pools without a configured SRST Reference will not.

Adrian you are quite correct with an ip phone this works perfectly but with a skinny gateaway device pools make no difference to srst. Because the 3rd option under the sccp ccm group config on the vg224 is the voice gateeway all devices on the vg224 register with the voice gateway as ephones if they cannot talk to the callmanager.
