Hi,

Request some one to responsd.

Thanks ,Akber Mirza.

Hi,

ATM is now a legagcy technology and it would be best to steer away from that if rolling out new infrastructure.

MPLS over ATM, is a way of running MPLS switching across your exisiting ATM infrastructure, it uses the VPI/VCI ATM cell header to forward MPLS packets through the core instead of using ATM cells natively.

Heres a link to have a look at.

I suggested using frame based MPLS instead of cell based.

essentially, when you configure your VPI/VCI link have it a layer 3 subnet (/30 for example) and then tag switch on the link.

This way you will have a simpler setup, specialy if u wish to migrate top Ethernet later on.
