Cisco Unified Personal Communicator IM feature

Can I use Cisco Unified Personal Communicator as Instant Messanger feature? What equipment should I use? Is it enough CCM? Or I should buy some additional devices?

Yes you can use CUPC for IM.

You will need the follwoing devices

1. CCM5.x or 6.x

2. CUPS..Cisco Unfied presence server

3. CUPC software

4. You then need to configure your CCM and Presence server to work with CUPC

NB: You will need to purchase the required licenses for all of the devices listed above.
