6500 supervisor engine redundancy with active election

Hi, all.

I am struggling that if SUP engine can be configured as a active with manual configuration.

If I equipped two engines, SUP automatically decide to elect a active module. But I want to know which slot is higher between two slots.

And how can i control one SUP is active and other SUP is standby.

Hi,

I cant find any good references to this, but I would say that it would be the first sup thats comes online.

If you think about it, there would be no point in the system waiting to come ready just because the sup in slot 5 has not come online yet, whereas sup slot 6 has.
