Router 3640 Flash Memory Problem ???

I have one 16 meg flash module on my 3640 already and need to load a different IOS that is 22meg in size. When I added a 8 meg flash chip the router see them as 2 separate Modules.(Like flash:1: and flash:2: Is there anyway to get the router to see those chips as one chip so I can use it as 24meg for will I have to buy a 32meg stick?

No, there is no way to get the router to see two flash memories as one.

Check out the link below. It's my understanding you cannot replace the flash in the 3640 with one flash module.

Could you please provide the following outputs:

- show version

- show file system

Also, what's the part number for the 8MB flash chip.
