Unity updrade path question

My customer has unity ver 3.1 installed. He has purchased Unity updrade P/N UNITY-5.X-VUP-K9.

But when I go thoiugh the releted documentation, this part number does upgrade to V5.1 from 4.x only. Is this correct ?

Where can I find the upgrae path information from Unity 3.X to latest version ?

you need to upgrade to a 4.0(5) version and then go to 5.0 version

If possible, plan on a rebuild of this platform rather than an upgrade. It will help the customer out tremendously. Business processes do change over time. Since this box is probably at least 5 years old (probably more) it would be wise to do an assessment of the box and determine what is best. Upgrade or new install. New install would be easier in my opinion.
