Forced Authorization Code VS Client Matter Code

Hi all,

I have a client who wants to implement its existing user IDD password scheme when their users dials IDD calls.

7 + user IDD Password + Tel No + #

N.B: 7 is just a pre-dial digit in route pattern.

In this scenario, for the user IDD password, should i use Forced Authorization Code OR Client Matter code?? Is there any difference between the two??

Thanks!

no, you're prompted for CMC or FAC after you dial, not before or in between

FAC is more related to groups of users and privileges to do certain calls (LD, international, etc)

CMC is used to identify calls per user

the way they work is that you dial the number, and then you're prompted for FAC, CMC or both in the order mentioned

Hi Javalenc,

So does it means that i should use CMC rather than FAC??

Also, if the user didn't put in the CMC, does it mean the user won't be able to dial the IDD??

And would i need to add the CMC part into the Route Pattern??

it's really up to you. if you need per user codes then use CMC, if it's going to be per group then use FAC

if you do not type in the FAC or CMC call won't go thru

you need to add the CMCs and then enable the route patterns to use them

Hi javalenc.

Can i changed the order of when the CCM will asked the user to input the CMC code??

Instead of

7 + Tel No + CMC + #

Can i re-order to

7 + CMC + Tel No + #

N.B: 7 is ust the Route pattern
