Hi Experts !!!

Request you guys to suggest me the Enhanced Image for 2950 and 2960 switches.

My requirement is to mark the packet on these switches using Class-maps/MQC.

The Catalyst 2950 runs a common image and depending on the hardware runs either the SI or the EI Feature set. You can't upgrade a 2950 that has SI features to EI features:

You have a WS-C2950-24 which only runs the SI features so QoS is very limited on it. You cannot use ingress service-policies to mark, remark or police your traffic. The only QoS features it has are layer-2 - trust CoS on a trunk, set a default CoS and queue based on the CoS value.

The 2960 on the other hand has two separate IOS feature sets - LAN Base & LAN Lite - and which one you run is not hardware dependant, however it is licensed. Luckily you already have the LAN Base image installed.

The LAN Base feature set has quite rich QoS features and you can mark, remark & police traffic on ingress. You are limited (like the 2950EI) to a minimum policing rate of 1Mbps though which might be restrictive?
