Solved: Upgrade LMS 3.0.1 to 3.1

I did local upgrade from LMS 3.0.1 to 3.1 on a standalone windows server several times yesterday. Although the installation wizard finished successfully without any warnings or errors, there always was java errors when I launched Topology Services in Campus Manager.

I plan to do a new installation of LMS 3.1 from a scratch standalone Windows 2003 server today. Is there a way to transfer all data from my existing 3.0.1 version to 3.1 version after the new installation? Can I use the same database backup/restore process documented in LMS 3.0 deployment guide?

Yes, you can use the remote upgrade backup/restore procedure to migrate your data from 3.0.1 to 3.1. Essentially, you take your backup, uninstall LMS 3.0, install 3.1, then restore the backup.
