Any way so that I don't have to prefix all my numbers with 403?

For eaxmaple as in 403-233-1234.

I have this problem too.

It is calling out from my phone.

A few months ago, the government changed the rule so that all called numbers must sart with an area code. Old = 123-1234, new way = 403-123-1234. Any way to automatically do the 403, so it doesn't have to be input every time? Thanks.

Create a translation rule to translate all DN's to the full 10digit number by adding the area code.

voice translation-rule 1

rule 1 /^\(123....\)$/ /403\1/

voice translation-profile xlate_out

translate calling 1

Apply the translation to each and every outbound dial peer.

dial-peer voice 10 pots

translation-profile outgoing xlate_out

destination-pattern 9[2-9]......

port 0/0/0:23

Sorry, I am still in the stoneage regarding such programming language. Could you please kindly point me to soem manual where I can learn a bit more on:

a) where to put this code?

b) need compiling?

c) does this code apply to all DN's stored in the system? all I want is to dial 123-4567 when I punch in the DN without 403, not applying to DN's in storage or memory. will this code do the trick?

Thanks in advance.

Here is challenge for you. I am not good in Java or CUCM. Any way of accomplishing the goal? Or is it totally & definitely hopeless.

java????? this is not a programming language, it's a CLI interface and you need to type in the commands. links i posted have all the info.

and for CUCM there are also several guides you can look at

the way to accomplish this is to read the documentation and try it
