Disabling phone directory lookup

I have built up phone to be used during video arraignment by in-custodies. I want to disable all of the button funtions. I have already set up the phones in their search spaces to auto dial it's sister phone. At the bottom of the phone configuration page I have disabled "Settings Access" and I am not able to see the network settings but I can still search the phone directory to see other extensions.

I've search the Cisco site and google but I am having problems finding a clear solution. Does anyone know of a solution? We are using CCM 4.1(3)sr7 and the phones in use for this project are 7911 and 7912.

Thank you.

Hi Matt,

For the phones in question you can enter a "fake" url under the Phone config page (Directory)

Cisco IP Phone - External Data Locations (leave blank to use default)

Directory Url

http://blah/CCMCIP/xmldirectory.asp

Hope this helps!

Yep that did it thank you very much for the quick reply.

Hi Matt,

Good stuff! Glad this worked for you.

Take care and thanks,

Rob

This seems to work fine on the 7912 but not on the 7911. We are using CUCM 7.13b. Still looking for help on this.

Mike,

For 7.1 there are better options for disabling the directory lookup on stations. See the followin URL (easier than typing it all out here).
