I'm reading records through a database and am trying to find a way to write data to a temporary location to read back at a later time. Has anyone out there written anything like this?

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Hi Rob,

Could I ask why? Is the database down or performance an issue, Also does this need to be held during the call or for a later call?

The original database would not be down. The data only needs to be held during the call and then discarded. Basically I need to pull a few pieces of information from a database and write it to a temporary document or file so that it can be used later in the same script.

Thanks for your response

a few pieces of information... do you mean a couple fields from a select? or do you mean several records from a select? or multiple selects?

Why won't a few variables suffice or have you thought about an Array if several records are needed?

Thanks Blair, You've just confirmed what I've been thinking all day. I don't believe that there are any limitations to an array.

Have a Great Day!
