On which IOS version for the 4500 series is WCCP with GRE possible?

We have sup IV and sup 6-E.

Taking these three points together, the following configuration is required if you want WCCP interception to be handled completely in hardware on the 4500/Sup720 or 6-E.

- GRE or L2 forwarding

- Mask assignment

- Inbound redirection

- No 'ip wccp redirect exclude in'

This will require you to reverse the logic of how your service groups are applied:

- 'ip wccp web-cache redirect in' on client-facing interfaces

- 'ip wccp 95 redirect in' on internet-facing interfaces

Hi, The only WCCP feature supported on C4500 is WCCP version 2 Layer 2 Redirection.

You can find the information from C4500 IOS software release note:

Hello,

I'm curious if you know the answer to this question.

I'm currently testing the transparent redirection of network traffic using wccp on a 4507 with Sup-IV and a BlueCoat Proxy SG.

I'm getting the following from the debugs and show commands. Any idea what the problem is? I have L2 forwarding enbaled on the BlueCoat. Time for me to open a case with TAC?

WCCP is not supported on the Sup 6-E. I wonder why? I am trying to find out.
