If I understand the question...You have an Access Point Associating to other Access Points? How are you determining that they are associating to each other and not just identifying each other as neighbors? What are the AP's you are using? Are you using Lightweight or autonomous? An AP should only associate to another AP if you set the AP to Bridge mode, which I do not believe is the default.
