Hi Guys,

Hoping for some tips here. We have recently upgraded a core link from 100Mb to 1Gb. At either end is a 7206VXR.

How can i test that the capacity of the link has been moved up to the 1Gb.

Cheers

Stephen

Stephen,

Have you tried Iperf ,runs on windows also, install small Iperf in a machine PointA and machine PointB and run it to get graphical bandwidth value for the link.

Also difference shoudl be noted when copying a large single file from siteA to siteB over a gig link from that of 100MB.

Hi Jorge,

We use Iperf quite a bit. But we do not have a host at the end of one side of the link. It is an internet edge device. WE would hope to use something like ttcp. But our routers do not have it.
