CME 4.3 7931 speed dial

The userguide for 7931 phones running on CME 4.3 says that you can program speed dial buttons by doing the following:

1.) Dial-tone

2.) Press #

3.) Press Speed-dial

4.) Enter speed dial number

5.) Press Speed-dial again to end.

I can't seem to get this to work. Has anyone been able to program speed dial buttons by following the 7931 user guide for CME. If so, is there something that needs to be enabled for this to work?

Try this:

1. Get dial tone

2. Press the # key

3. Press any speed-dial button (empty button) that you want to program. You shld get a beep tone.

4. Enter the number

5. Hangup the handset to finish
