I have a customer that is calling from an avaya phone into Unity and trying to leave a VM for a subcriber wihtout ringing their phone. Usually the default call handler gives you the option of dialing by extension and ringing the subscibers phone. Is it possible for the phone to not ring and just be able to leave a message? Thanks in advance!

This would be determined by the subscriber's call transfer setting. In Unity administration, go to Subscribers > Choose Subscriber > Call Transfer. The "Transfer incoming calls to a phone" setting determines whether calls will be sent to the subscriber's greeting, the subscriber's extension or another number.
Hope this helps.

This would just be for the front desk calling into Unity pilot number and once in unity dial an extension and leave message without ringing the actual phone.

The front desk receptionist should dial #2 after the extension. This tells Unity to skip the Subscriber's transfer rule and go directly to the mailbox greeting.
