C4506 Switch Chassis Error Message.. Need help

Hi Experts,

I got this error message when trying to install one card at C4506 New core switch.

Is it due to IOS not compatible and which IOS I should use to resolve this issue?

Error message:

Jul 30 00:13:19.823 gmt: %C4K_CHASSIS-3-UNKNOWNLINECARD: Unknown module (Field Replaceable Unit minor type 351) in slot 3

Hi Cindy Lee,

As per Cisco:

%C4K_CHASSIS-3-UNKNOWNLINECARD: Unknown module (Field Replaceable Unit minor type [dec]) in slot [dec]

The module's serial EEPROM was readable, and your software image does not recognize this module. A software upgrade is necessary.

Recommended Action: Upgrade the software to a version that is compatible with the module.
