That's what I though. The '@' is an illegal character for a Cisco community string. Remove this, perform a new Data Collection then a new UT acquisition, and you should be good to go.

LMS 3.1 is available as a free upgrade for customers who have an SAS contract on LMS 3.0. The upgrade is delivered as a DVD. You can go to http://www.cisco.com/upgrade to request it, or contact your sales team.

That said, I do not think upgrading will solve your UT problem. What version of Campus Manager are you using now? Do these 6500 switches show up as green with the proper icon on the topology map?

Hi J,

iam using CM v5.0.3, the switches show up green, the icons are a green box with a green router on top the device type is C6509-ios.

thanks

Marianne

There are no known bugs in CM 5.0.3 that would account for missing end host entries. What version of SNMP are you using with these 6500s?

Hi J,

here is an excert from the UT.log

I wanted to know what version of SNMP you're using on this 6500. If looks like v1/v2c. If so, what is your SNMP community string?

Hi J,

I am using v1 (default not specified) with string edcr3@d

thanks

M

That's what I though. The '@' is an illegal character for a Cisco community string. Remove this, perform a new Data Collection then a new UT acquisition, and you should be good to go.

Ill repor back tomorrow,
