Can someone define what a dialer does? We have a 3845 and are installing 3 outbound LD PRI's and I was asked if we will be utilizing dialers. I am not sure what dialers are and if we are using them.
Can someone let me know how I can check to see if we are using them? If we are do I need it on the LD PRI?
Thanks,
Jeff

Hi,
With PRIs you do not use dialers. Dialers are most times used with BRIs.
Here is am example of a bri ocnfig with dialer

Actually I don't think he means dialer profiles and dialer interfaces for ISDN Dial on Demand routing (which also apply to the ISDN PRI) ...
More likely the telco is asking if he is going to put a predictive dialer on the service and make outbound telemarketing type calls. You know the type - just as you sit down at 7pm the phone rings with some guy trying to sell you a mobile phone deal.
Refer here for a good description on these kind of dialers -
