ISDN PRI

Answered Question
Jul 30th, 2008

Hello,

Just want to check if this can be done.

I have a cisco router connected via ISDN PRI to a PBX.

router---ISDN PRI---PBX

I want to group the channels on the PRI.

Channels 1-15 will be specifically used for incoming calls to the pbx, and the rest of the channels to be used specifically for outgoing calls from the PBX.

Sample configs will be appreciated.

thanks,

I have this problem too.

You can use pri trunk groups to do this -

!

controller E1 0/0/1

framing NO-CRC4

clock source internal

pri-group timeslots 1-31

trunk-group Inwards timeslots 1-15

trunk-group Outwards timeslots 17-31

!

!

dial-peer voice 1 pots

description - allow DID for PRI

incoming-called number .

port 0/0/1:15

direct-inward-dial

!

dial-peer voice 2 pots

description - outwards calls on TS 17-31

preference 1

destination-pattern 0

trunkgroup Outwards

!

dial-peer voice 3 pots

description - overflow dial peer

destination-pattern 0

trunkgroup Inwards
