All, How can I configure a phone to automatically call a specific number, when the handset is picked up? At the reception desk, we want the visitor to pick up the handset and it will call someone, so that we dont have to have a receptionist at the front door.
We are on CCM 4.0.

Is it possible to allow the person to enter a number before picking up the phone to reach that number instead of the attendant.

Can you elaborate on your question? So, do you want both auto "plar" dial and at the same time ability do dial? If so that would not be doable as that defeats the purpose.

I agree with Chris, you cannot auto ringdown and also dial at the same time. The only solution would be to use two line apperances. One is the ringdown PLAR line and the other is the extension dialing line.
