Hi All,
We have a CCM 5.1.3 cluster (with a publisher and 2 subscribers) and a Cisco IPCCX 5.0.2. Also, we have LDAP integration and authentication with AD.
We currently run the Cisco AXL Web Service only on the publisher as per the CCM best practices and we have configured only the Publisher as the AXL Service Provider in UCCX.
The downside of this configuration is that when the publisher goes down, all the UCCX agents are not able to login. Also, when the publisher is down, we are unable to login to the UCCX Administration.
Will running Cisco AXL Web Service on the subscriber have any side effects?
Kindly advise.
Thanks in Advance.

If we are using subscriber we cannot write into the database. It is a read-only access to the DB. AXL service runs on both Publisher and Subscriber. You can connect to any AXL service and get same data back as the Subscriber stores exact replica of Publisher's database.

No,
It will not.
Infact best practice is to have atleast 2 servers in your cluster running the AXL service so incase of either one going down, you have some resiliency
