In CUC rather unity, anyone who be kind share me the document and procedure for receive voice message from outlook mailbox?

Cisco Unity Connection allows licensed users to use a third-party IMAP client to access voice messages from their desktop machines. Currently, it is possible only to play voice messages with the IMAP client; there are no reply or forwarding capabilities.

Hi Zhang,

We are currently testing UC in the Lab and these are the docs we used for the IMAP (Integrated Messaging) configs;

To enable users to access their voice messages by using an IMAP client, complete the following tasks in the order presented:

1. Associate users with a class of service that offers a license to use an IMAP client to access voice messages. Do the "To Enable IMAP Client Access to Voice Messages for COS Members" procedure.

2. Optional but recommended: Configure the Connection server to provide a secure IMAP connection, as described in the "Securing Cisco PCA and IMAP E-Mail Client Access to Cisco Unity Connection" chapter of the System Administration Guide for Cisco Unity Connection, available at

3. For each user workstation, configure a supported IMAP client to access a Connection voice mailbox. For instructions, see the "Configuring an E-Mail Account to Access Cisco Unity Connection Voice Messages" chapter of the User Workstation Setup Guide for Cisco Unity Connection, available at

Note You can offer IMAP client access to voice messages to members of the COS only if enough licenses are available.

To Enable IMAP Client Access to Voice Messages for COS Members

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1 In Cisco Unity Connection Administration, find the COS that you want to change, or create a new one.

Step 2 On the Edit Class of Service page, under Licensed Features, check the Allow Users to Access Voice Mail Using an IMAP Client check box.

Step 3 Choose one of the following options:

â€¢Allow Users to Access Message Bodies

â€¢Allow Users to Access Message Bodies Except on Private Messages

â€¢Allow Users to Access Message Headers Only

Step 4 Click Save.

Is IMAP folder capable of forwarding the voice message email to a address that is on the corporate exchange?

Hello -

With the ViewMail for Unity Connection installed on the user's workstation, you can "Forward with Voice". A new message opens with the Media Master. The user can record a message and forward it, using the Email address book (GAL) to another user. Forwarding Voice Messages

Do the procedure in this section to forward a voice message as is or to record an introduction that plays before a forwarded voice or email message.

To Forward a Voice Message

Step 1 In the open voice message, click Forward.

Or

In the open email message, from the Actions menu, click Forward with Voice.

Step 2 Enter the names of recipients.

Step 3 On the Media Master, click Record (circle) and record an introduction.

Step 4 When you finish recording, click Stop (square).

Step 5 Add text and attachments as applicable.

Step 6 Click Send.
