port forward from adsl to PC

Answered Question

I'm struggling to set up a port forward in a cisco 2600 router.

My internet comes in through a wic-adsl card, it is configured with no ip address. My dialer0 config gets the ip address from my isp (eg aa.bb.ccc.ddd). My LAN connects to f0/0 which is set at 172.16.1.30. My PC is set at 172.16.1.15 and I need to forward a port number to this PC.

I tried 'ip nat inside source static tcp..etc in the dialer0 interface but I got

router(config-if)#ip nat inside source static tcp ....

% Invalid input detected at '^' marker.

router(config-if)#

I've seen 'ip nat inside source static ' in cisco documents but I don't understand why I'm getting an error when I do it.

Thanks for any pointers.

I have this problem too.

not apply the ip nat inside command in the interface configuration mode.

put the command in global router configuration

Example:

router# conf t

router(config)# ip nat inside source static 171.16.68.5 x.x.x.x
