hi all -
i have recently switched CSM servers and admin users and have had to re-configure all the settings (proxy, mail, auto download, etc.). i have verified all of those settings are correct several times now, just to be sure. :)
the issue i'm having is that i can check for updates, it shows available updates, but when i attempt to download i get the message:
[snip long list of updates]
Start downloading files from server .....
Downloading file: IPS-CS-MGR-4360-K9-5.1.5-E1.zip.....
Unable to retried file [filename] from server. Operation aborted.
and that's it. it used to download signature updates no problem. it's showing latest downloaded of:
IPS-CS-MGR-sig-S341-req-E2.zip
and latest available of:
IPS-CS-MGR-sig-S349-req-E2.zip
but will not download.
help file says:
"If you are using Cisco.com and experience a download failure, double-check the user account to ensure it has the required permissions for downloading strong encryption software"
i just verified that i can manually download the latest sig file without issue.
can anyone help shed some light on what i'm missing? or at least log location so i can see what the server is doing/failing on? thanks!
CSM 3.2.1, Build: 17913

just had a thought - could this possibly be directory permissions related? meaning, i don't have permissions to write to the download directory (not sure what that is, btw)?
thoughts?
