Import more updated DMA backup file afterwards ?

1. We've created an exact copy of CCM 4.1.3 in our test lab.

2. Migrated CCM 4.1.3 database by using DMA

3. Upgrade CCM 4.1.3 in test lab to 6.x

4. During upgrade, Imported DMA tar file.

Everything in the lab is working fine and we are ready to upgrade the live environment to 6.x. Since the import was some time ago and we've made many new changes in the live 4.1.3 environment, we need a more updates TAR file but we just want want to swap the live 4.1.3 disks with the test lab version 6.x drives into the live servers.

Can we do a new import of the TAR file or do we first need to reinstall the 6.x publisher and import the file during upgrade ? ( upgrade took very long time and we can save a lot of time if we can just insert a new TAR file again)

The only time you can restore from DMA is during the inital install/upgrade. There is no process to update CM 6.X from CM 4.1 DB but during the install. Your only option is to run the install again.
