Hey Guys,
I have a problem.
The topolgy is like this..
I have a L2/L3 switch and a L3 router..
I have configured port channel on both.
I have 2 interfaces on the L2/L3 switch referencing the port-channel point to the L3 router..
I have 2 interfaces on the L3 router pointing to the L2/L3 switch..
On the L3 router..
The command "show interface status" shows up/up.
On the L2/L3 switch..
The command "show interface status" shows up/down.
I got this error message on the L2/L3 switch..
MET-DST: %EC-5-CANNOT_BUNDLE2: is not compatible with Gi3/6 and will be suspended (Source monitor interfaces are not allowed to be part of an etherchannel)
****When I changed the port on the L2/L3 switch I see it in monitoring?????***
How come??
Let me know

hi!
Are you runing any SPAN monitoring sessions on the L2/L3 switch? Can you check using "sh monitor sessions" command?
I am guessing you had set a span on this port and have not disabled the SPAN as yet. And hence that port is unable to be a part of the etherchannel.
If this doesnot solve the issue, can you please paste the config of the ports?

Span allows you to monitor with a sniffer packets on configured ports to look at if you are having a problem . Most useful when you need to look at packets on a given port or vlan. Because it was set as a monitor port it is not allowed to be part of a etherchannel . turn off the span session and it should be fine.
