Help with 1841 WIC-1T connecting t1

I am having trouble getting a 1841 with WIC-1T to work with a t1 line. I had 2501 setup the same that works fine. Here's SH INT for 1841. Currently not connected.

Serial0/0/0 is down, line protocol is down

Hardware is GT96K Serial

MTU 1500 bytes, BW 1544 Kbit, DLY 20000 usec,

reliability 255/255, txload 1/255, rxload 1/255

Encapsulation HDLC, loopback not set

Keepalive set (10 sec)

Last input 01:50:23, output 01:50:24, output hang never

Last clearing of "show interface" counters never

Input queue: 0/75/0/0 (size/max/drops/flushes); Total output drops: 0

Queueing strategy: weighted fair

Output queue: 0/1000/64/0 (size/max total/threshold/drops)

Conversations 0/1/256 (active/max active/max total)

Reserved Conversations 0/0 (allocated/max allocated)

Available Bandwidth 1158 kilobits/sec

5 minute input rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

5 minute output rate 0 bits/sec, 0 packets/sec

857 packets input, 80028 bytes, 0 no buffer

Received 72 broadcasts, 0 runts, 0 giants, 0 throttles

0 input errors, 0 CRC, 0 frame, 0 overrun, 0 ignored, 0 abort

53 packets output, 1272 bytes, 0 underruns

0 output errors, 0 collisions, 226 interface resets

0 output buffer failures, 0 output buffers swapped out

27 carrier transitions

DCD=up DSR=up DTR=down RTS=down CTS=up

Anything obvious that I am missing?

Connect the link and then try changing the encapsulation to PPP.

Changed to PPP on both ends and still didn't work. HDLC works fine with the current 2501 thats in place.

With the line not connected the show interface will not give nearly as much useful information as it would if you issued the command with the line connected. I do notice in the output that the number of input packets and the number of output packets are both greater than zero. This implies that when the line was connected that some traffic was going back and forth.

It would be helpful if you wold connect the line again and then post the output of the commands show interface and of show controller serial (or perhaps show controller t1).

Are you connecting with the same cable on the 1841 as was on the 2501 or is it a different cable?

I will post the output when I can try it again. I can only take down the network a certain times.

Yes same cables were used.

Serial cables connected to Adtran TSU's.
