We configured non-trunking ports for 3750 switches as mode access, with voice and access vlan configured. However, sometimes we need to setup a switch in the conference rooms, it seems that we could no longer simply put in a 3Com or Cisco switches, except for Hubs or really lower end switches. Is there a way to have switches communicate through access ports?

Yes they should talk fine thru access ports . The switches hung off that port will be in the particular vlan that is assigned to that port.
