Hello All,
I have a customer running CME 4.1(0) and IOS 12.4(15)T3. They have their main number as 8500. They want 8500 to ring on 3 phones simultaneously. If one person is on 8500, on the subsequent incoming call to 8500, they want the other 2 phones to ring simultaneously, etc. However, with my config, the first call to 8500 works fine, any subsequent calls to 8500 rings only on the phone that is already engaged, as opposed to ringing the other 2 available phones. Below are the relevant portions of my config:
ephone-dn 13 dual-line
number 8500
name Main Number
description Main Number
call-forward busy 5000
call-forward noan 5000
no huntstop
ephone-dn 14 dual-line
number 8502
description Front Desk
huntstop channel
ephone-dn 25 dual-line
number 8501
description Front Desk
name Front Desk
huntstop channel
ephone-dn 32
number 8503
name Front Desk
description Front Desk
huntstop channel
ephone 14
mac-address xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
button 1:13 2:14
ephone 25
mac-address xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
button 1:13 2:25
ephone 32
mac-address xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
button 1:13 2:32
ephone-hunt 1 peer
pilot 8500
list 8503, 8501, 8502
final 5000
timeout 10, 10, 10

Whats wrong with this picture? As always, any help provided is greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Hi Kenneth,
It's weird but this is the actual design;
Shared Dual Lines
The Cisco Unified CME call-handling model allows only the active ephone of shared dual line DN to receive additional calls. That is, if an ephone is active on a call on a shared DN, other ephones with the same DN will see the DN in use. If a second call is made to the dual-line DN, that call is only presented to the active ephone. The other ephone does not receive any indication of the second call.
There is a good example of Overlays in this thread;
And from Paul @ Cisco;
I hope this helps!

Hi,
I've amended your config to make it easier. Basically, like Rob said, it's better to create the additional DN's and add the overlays onto the ephone's.
Remember the "no huntstop" after the DN's...
ephone-dn 14 dual-line
number 8502
description Front Desk
huntstop channel
ephone-dn 25 dual-line
number 8501
description Front Desk
name Front Desk
huntstop channel
ephone-dn 32
number 8503
name Front Desk
description Front Desk
huntstop channel
ephone-dn 33
number 8500
name Hunt Group XY
Description XY
no huntstop
ephone-dn 34
number 8500
name Hunt Group XY
Description XY
no huntstop
ephone-dn 35
number 8500
name Hunt Group XY
Description XY
no huntstop
ephone 14
mac-address xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
button 1:14,33,34,35
ephone 25
mac-address xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
button 1:25,33,34,35
ephone 32
mac-address xxxx.xxxx.xxxx
button 1:32,33,34,35
ephone-hunt 1 peer
pilot 8500
list 8503, 8501, 8502
final 5000
timeout 10, 10, 10

Rob,
I owe you this week's paycheck buddy!! Thanks, I've implemented the solution provided in the links you provided and it appears to be working to the customer's satisfaction.
Tim,
I decided to do away with the hunt group and just made overlay shared-dn's, and all appears to be working. However, 5 points for you for taking the time out to assist.

Hi Kenneth,
You are most welcome buddy! How about a "cold beer" together instead? Now that sounds like a plan ;-)
Take care,
Rob
