I have not done any E-1 stuff.
We are building a facility in Mexico and I am looking for any docs that can help.
Voice and Data.
What I have so far for the config:
controller E-1 0/0/0
framing NO-CRC4
channel-group 0 timeslots 1-31
for the voice we were just told
channles 1-10
and the "framing" is R2-M <--I have no idea what this is?
Any help in where to look would be great.
also we have a VWIC2-E1/T1 with 2 interfaces on the card. We had to do:
no network-clock-participate wic 0
no network-clock-participate wic 1
Also, with the set-up of the card can we run voice and data on the same card through the 2 interfaces or do we need separate cards?
what is this for?
Thanks,
Rick

You can use the same card, it just needs to be all E1 or all T1 if its a 2MFT-T1E1.
the voice I believe he was trying to tell you its an E1 R2. There is 3 versions. compelled, semi-compelled and non-compelled. I myself have never worked with on in the wild so this is far as I can get you. I think its like
ds0-group 0 timeslots 1-10 ... semi-compelled
Paolo or someone could answer this better ;)

Thanks Chad...
I was able to find this link:

I just wanted to make sure that the data and the voice could be on the same card and that there are no issues. There should not be a problem since it is two different controllers and interfaces but never done this so I wanted to make sure.
It is slowly making sense, but I am not quite there completely yet.
