Far end disconnect using ISDN

Hi,

I am using ISDN, on initiating the call I am getting following error, it appears like the call is initiated for a while (1 or 2 secs) and then hangs up with message "Normal call clearing".

Any suggestions as why this problem is occuring.

Aug 6 08:58:59.037 UTC: ISDN Se1/0:23 Q931: RX <- CONNECT pd = 8 callref = 0x96C4

Aug 6 08:58:59.049 UTC: %DIALER-6-BIND: Interface Se1/0:21 bound to profile Di21

Aug 6 08:58:59.049 UTC: %ISDN-6-CONNECT: Interface Serial1/0:21 is now connected to 0667723420 N/A

Aug 6 08:58:59.053 UTC: ISDN Se1/0:23 Q931: TX -> CONNECT_ACK pd = 8 callref = 0x16C4

Aug 6 08:58:59.213 UTC: ISDN Se1/0:23 Q931: TX -> DISCONNECT pd = 8 callref = 0x16C4

Cause i = 0x8090 - Normal call clearing

Aug 6 08:58:59.313 UTC: ISDN Se1/0:23 Q931: RX <- RELEASE pd = 8 callref = 0x96C4

Thanks

Yamin

Hello Yamin,

have you got any isdn caller command on your PRI or Di21 that can filter 0667723420 N/A ?

the N/A makes me think that your router doesn't recognize the number as part of a numbering plane and for this reason disconnects.

Also

Note: The following printout indicates a higher-protocol failure:

Cause i = 0x8090 - Normal call clearing

PPP authentication failure is a typical reason. Turn on debug ppp negotiation and debug ppp authentication before assuming that the connection failure is necessarily an ISDN problem.

Hope to help

Giuseppe

Hello Giuseppe,

Yes it is the authentication failure, I just fixed it and it is working fine.

Appreciate your reply.

Thank you

Yamin
