CEF Asymetric routing

I have a DC-DR setup with redundant links and routers between them i will be using OSPF routing to achieve ACTIVE/ACTIVE routing on both the links what i need to know is will enabling CEF load balancing per destination on my L3 create asymteric routing of packets between my DC-DR if yes then how will i disable it as i have a firewall behind which will prevent my packets from being accessed

Hello Sudhir,

if your firewall is behind a router it will never detect from which link the packet is coming if the links are connected to the same router.

If you have two routers you can still place the firewall behind them.

Hi Giuseppe,

Thanx for your reply but i think either ways per-destination CEF load balancing provides a fixed path for a destination-host pair so as you suggested the problem of stateful inspection of a firewall should not arise ....correct me if i am worng
